No-one likes having to postpone matches but due to the unpredictability of the British weather, a match will rarely be postponed before the Sunday.
A decision on HOME matches will normally be made by 8.30am for morning matches and 11.30am for afternoon matches, taking into account not only the current weather conditions but also whether the pitch is playable or not. The Hordle Club Secretary will ‘phone the team manager directly who then contacts parents – it is unlikely therefore that your manager will know much before these times. Please do not ring the Secretary to ask if a match is on – your point of contact on match days is your team manager. For AWAY fixtures we are at the mercy of other Clubs but the communication channel is the same and you will know within 15 minutes of our secretary knowing. Unfortunately however, some other Clubs make decisions later than us and you could already be on your way to the match!
All matches will be rescheduled (except for U7s) – the League decides the new date, not the Club.
